Behaviors and Discipline

The purpose of education is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and habits which will make them both good citizens and successful in future employment. It is vital to maintain an orderly atmosphere that is conducive to learning in the school. Students have both rights and the responsibility to respect the rights of others.

Most students in the Stratton School System understand these rights and responsibilities. However, there will be occasions when students choose to disregard the rules. The Stratton School Discipline Code is designed to give students guidelines as to appropriate behavior and to make clear the consequences for inappropriate behavior. The code also assures equal administration of consequences.
