Parents are responsible for obtaining insurance to cover accidents and injuries while students are at school. A student accident insurance program providing broad coverage at nominal cost to parents shall be made available to all students. It is not financially feasible for Stratton School District to carry medical insurance on each student. Therefore, student medical services are the responsibility of the parent/guardian in the event of accident or illness during school or school activities.
Before any student will be permitted to participate in any school sports activity, this insurance must be purchased or a waiver must be presented absolving the school district of any liability for accidents. Students must complete an Emergency Form, which will be kept on file in the office. Information requested will include emergency contacts, preferred physician, parent/guardian phone numbers, etc. If any information changes on the emergency form, please contact the office.
